BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE

guess uni life has started for me alr. gotta face up to reality and stop living in denial. maybe the reason for self denial is the realisation that i'm growing older...
first wk of sch is not so bad. wldnt exactly call it school as the whole wk was spent on orientation. non-stop games, fun and cheering, day after day. first day did seem a bit awkward though it gradually improved as we started warming up to each other. i was grouped into astroboy under machines. qiao qi thankfully was in the same og as me. oh & there was mirna too! ex-mgsian. & yan ling, my new found friend from nj. orientation in uni is a whole new experience for me. most of the cheers are in hokkien and chinese. argh ... dont understand. yet that didnt stop me from enjoying myself.

lol, i think 1 thing i cant forget abt the orientation was this really weird game. secret partner. we're blind folded and made to talk to a person of the opp gender. literally blind dating. after a few interactions, we get to see for ourselves how our partner looks like. weirdest thing was that i had 2 sps! didnt get to find out who the first one is though. he was super crappy, that's all i can say for sure. as for my 2nd one, we were made to play games together that involved alot of unthinkable interactions. eww... esp the mouth to mouth passing of items. i stood in between two super TALL guys that made it really difficult to pass items :( that nite was really funny! coz my friends and i came up with code names to identify ourselves yet not givin away our names to our sp. i was called apple -.-" haha ..so act cute. as a result, my friends' partners & mine followed suit. my sp was called durian ..a D24 (i tink) from thailand ..dotssss .. haha! while my friends' were chicken farm & starfruit. the whole episode was real hilarious la. now i cant get rid of that stupid 'name' apple. bleah ..

war games were messy & beach games were HOT!!!! haha .. i got ultra sun burns la! now i'm super dark & my burnt skin ached like hell :( my skin colour is really gross now as i'm startin to peel... ewww. hope those tonnes of whitenin cream applied work their magic!!!

fri was fright nite. they purposely made us go in guy-girl pairs only la ... damn scary!!! i think i practically clawed my partner .. haha. fright nite ended only ard 2am then. guys were hungry so we did away with the idea of sleeping. mann .. wrong move. i was so tired! my contacts were so dry that it felt as though they were stuck onto my eye balls .. gosh it really hurt! in the end, we left for homes ard 6am in the morning to sleep. meeting again ard 1pm for lunch followed by rag. it was super packed & the weather was disastrous! it practically felt like a sauna. in the end, we cld take the heat no longer. headed off to marina sq & played pool. okkk .. guess i did improve a bit but i still suck great time .. haha. considerin it's only my 2nd time playin! at least i only air ball once this time :) my og mates were kind enuf to pretend not to notice! haha. lame ...

orientation wk is over. exhausted & lookin horribly dark! lessons are starting tomorrow ... sigh. cant help feeling excited or nervous. up till now i still dont noe my classmates, my way ard campus clearly, my tutorials, etc ... mann! i'm a sotong. at least i dont feel so lonely anymore. made really good friends at orientation! engineering doesnt seem that bad after all :) however, i still got to say this: my timetable sux!!! so does my modules... argh
