after 8 days of intestine virus attack ... plus plenty of LS-ing ... i managed to step into this lion city and i'm immediately well and kicking!
today is new year eve ... sobz!!! 2007 is here and there is no school to look forward to at 3rd jan 2007 ... that's pretty sad ... i got to work now ... working world :/ all i can think is money, i dont mind the hard work i guess. i just need the money. haha (:
pretty lazy to blog cuz i just arrive by a rocky plane today ... so i keep details of my trip a secret first!

In secondary four your idea of a good friend was the person who changed their study schedule so that they could study with you for the O levels...and listen to you bitch about the subjects you have to take AND symphathize with your predictament.

In JC1 your idea of a good friend was the person whom you 1st met in your OG/ class, and who stuck around with you as the academic year wore on and everyone drifted apart to their own interests.

In JC2 your idea of a good friend was the person who helped you pick out a college/university, assured you that you would get into that college/university, helped you deal with your parents who were having a hard time adjusting to the idea of letting you go...while being reluctant to see you go as well; the person who had dinner with you every single day of the week because you stayed back in the library to mug till late into the night, who went to prom night with you so that you wouldn't feel out of place without a date...

At graduation your idea of a good friend was the person who was crying on the inside but managed the biggest smile one could give as they congratulated you for your excellent results.

In the army (for guys), your idea of a good friend was someone who suffered just as much beside you, who got pumped for your mistakes, who charged up hill after hill, marched mile after mile, dug trench after trench with you in the sun and the rain, and never once complained about you...it was always the system's/weather's/officers' fault :) They were the ones who served detention with you, who helped ease the boredom of detention with you, who tried to help you avoid detention as best as they could...

At work ( for girls), your idea of a a good friend was one who spent the time together with you in the office/restaurant/ wadeva working place you were in, and helped you get through the maximum of workload with a minimum of fuss. They were the ones who ticked off the bossy customer, who helped you clean up the tables so that you wouldn't be the last one left to close up, and who took it upon themselves to help you finish up the in boc on your desk so that all of you could go out for lunch/dinner together.

The year you left for university your idea of a good friend was the person who helped you clean up the bottles from that party, listened to you when you ranted on about how you just couldn't deal with your parents, assured you that now that you and (insert name of bf or gf) were back together, you could make it through anything, helped you pack up for university and just silently hugged you at the airport as you looked through blurry eyes at 18 years of memories you were leaving behind, and finally on those last days of childhood, went out of their way to give you reassurance that you would make it in college as well as you had these past 18 years, and most importantly sent you off to college knowing you were loved.

Now, your idea of a good friend is still the person who gives you the better of the two choices, holds your hand when you're scared, helps you fight off those who try to take advantage of you, thinks of you at times when you are not there, reminds you of what you have forgotten, helps you put the past behind you but understands when you need to hold on to it a little longer, stays with you so that you have confidence, goes out of their way to make time for you, helps you clear up your mistakes, helps you deal with pressure from others, smiles for you when they are sad and helps you become a better person.

A group of us met up - eng hong, fred, fu wei, gavin, jaya, steph, william @ clementi. We went bowling and played pool. [no one was up for steph's swimming party .. lol, guess some other time yea?] Such outings are different .. yet kinda special in its way! haha, all of us are real lan bowlers mann! our scorings are only 2 digits while the pros in lane beside us score high 3 digits figures!! -.-" but hey .. we did improve in the 2nd round. some funny things happened. 1. steph was such a strong bowler that she threw the bowling ball into the next lane, william's lane ... lol, thankfully he managed to escape unscathed but steph sabo-ed him coz the ball that went over fell into the gutter & in the end, william scored a big fat ZERO. 2. i tink william wanted to try to throw a spinning bowling ball, but he ended up dropping it vertically down onto the floor. ok, damn maluating! 3. eng hong with his goofy imitations of some ppl, lyk fred flinstone tiptoe-ing. 4. & many others. after that, we proceeded to play pool. ok .. problem-o, princess & i dont know how to play. bleah, thankfully jaya & fu wei tot us, but guess we still sux. hai

Saturday
ICES outing @ vivo - chen wee, choon heng, peixin, steph & yishien. hmm ok supposed to meet at 12pm. i planned hard to come late ard 12.30 la! yet, i ended up comin the earliest!!! argh, 12pm on the dot! darn .. karma mann. yup so had to wait, sigh. choon heng even forgot abt the outin la. 12.30pm++ & he's still at serangoon!!! bleah, stupid CBA, lol. had lunch at Asian Kitchen. Went to arcade & played pool again. Yay! I tink princess & I made some improvements. [chen wee & choon heng are super pro] Watched the movie – The Holiday, a super romantic love story, chosen by steph! Haha, expected, since it came from princess. All of us spent a great deal of effort setting chen wee & peixin up together .. woah! It was sooo funny, laughed till I was out of breathe. Hee! Vivo cinema theatre aint that great anyway! The chairs are so straight that you can lean back properly. Oh yea, this optic shop was giving out free trial of coloured contacts .. coolio. Unfortunately, had to try on the spot. Haha, in the end no one tried coz we’re all beginners except for steph.

Wasn’t quite what I expected to do on a Sunday .. helped dad at his warehouse sale. After that had dinner & I saw mr lim!!! Omg, I was so shocked la!!! Lol

Yea, princess has returned to her castle in Indonesia. tataz

phew, tis few days haf been hectic mann! scholarship applications and job interviews. haha, but busy busy busy. NICE! despite all these, i managed to find time to watch dvds. hee .. lovely samsoon (i noe i'm sooo slow) and full house. korean gurls are just sooo pretty :) now, i understand y ezzah wanted to tie her hair sideways. neway, the shows are damn sweet and romantic (princess, u should go watch, can dream abt being wif someone. ~clicks!*) oh yea, and the guys are super shuai, better than do. lol. u noe, i kinda miss do! hmm, but life goes on :)

recently, ezzah wrote this very nice testimonial for me.

the night was definitely better than crez prom cuz there is more ppl and more hype? our class ppl all dress pretty nicely ... i'm so glad guys did wear jackets! my bro's prom (acs) all wear tshirt and jeans -.-
anyway a lot of taking photos, food really sux, i got cold stomach in between.

i did my nails unwillingly (pedicure) but it turn out really nice and barbie-ish lol! then i went to do my hair and make up, MAJOR DISASTER ... should have just do myself or sumtink *sobz* i look like aunty! pui! uber sad ... but heck larh, i'm young! aunty is another 60 years later!
i thought some of the photos dont turn out really nicely - princess is vain, yes princess is vain
anyway many different ppl praise different parts of my overall look. haha ... someone even voted me best hair, hsiao wei&regina tot my skirt is transparent all the way (woo so sexy) haha ... serena said my bag is nice (is my mum's really ... CHRISTIENE DIOR!)
oh yes the wedding photo segment is also really fun ... cuz of my tall figure ... hardly any guys can beat my height ... so i quickly grab a chair and sit down .. so at least they can be taller than me ... haha ... i dint even realise is wedding photo poses larh .. but its really fun ... i know i did the chair shoot wif bing, cj, perklun ... fuwei and shaoxun tiptoed when i photo wif them ... lol after the chair shoot, many many many girls come and grab guys to do the wedding shot! hahahhahahahaha ... i'm a trend setter! so much of wanting to get married ah, girls? hihihi
oh yes me and cheryl took a shot wif ms sharon phua and mr sito!
so sad got no dance segment ... me and debo were like sooooo going to groove already ...
in the end we went to karaoke ... i din noe i can sing ... i din noe anyone can sing except for perk and sx ... but PPL SING!!! especially willy, bing and fuwei .. hell lots of fun and laughter ... and i sing a duet wif hsiao wei - BARBIE GIRL ... lol!!! the guys are like rolling on the sofa laughing their head off.
but but but ... i got to leave early, cuz mum wont get any of the nonsense about staying till dawn break. so poof at 2am, she came along ... must thank fred for sending me out (although he took a bloody long time to find the exit, my legs ache like crazy so i took off my heels and go around marina square barefooted!) blehhhhhzzzzzz .. sooooo unfair! i really would like to stay :/

i finally bought my swimming costume ... haha .. can now swim! s17 how bout a swimming party at my condo? um, olympic size swimming pool, jumping board, jacuzzi? and there is a shower room nearby (so that no glass will break again aka regina's incident at my toilet - shattering of glasses)

i hate to say this, but i miss classes already ... or maybe i miss ices ... writting essays are sooooo boring ... plus i got to make a presentation econs 'How can Singapore leverage on Asia's strong economic growth and the rise in cross-border transactions?' for my 2nd round interview. i have zilch idea. so anyone? help? econs expert needed :):)

i just read finish EZZAH's blog ... blow to blow incident man ... haha ...
ezzah, must keep the entry okay? so next time i can just refer to your entry on the wonderful chalet experience!

i went chalet a day and a night later than everyone else. at the beginning, i was quite afraid that i will miss a lot of fun on the first nite and i wont get a bed at nite (cuz everyone will then mark their bed territory already rite?) hahaha ... worry worry me :/
PLUS ... i cant contact anyone to direct me to the chalet! called MANY people :/ i was carrying 3 boxes of cake and wire mesh for bbq ... LUCKY smart me ... i can find my way to the chalet and found everyone just hanging out playing cards.

so yeah, we have BBQ at nite. the most successful bbq as to date. i still cant forget the second bbq we have at yong an, bbq-ing french fries and hashbrown is really not a good idea. this time around, fu wei took charge of bbq, it went really well!!! plus all the marinating of food by amanda and her sister :) about 10 of us help at the BBQ pit while the less-lazy-pokers watch JOHN TUCKER MUST DIE... courtesy of MOI bringing all the dvds and vcds ... lol, it was a good thing that i brought all those, since we all watch sooooo many movies during the chalet :):):)

nite cycling was really fun! rui yuan was commenting how he is scared i was TOO HEAVY... "an extra load" ... and how we wont be able to double bike together. LOL .. then i slap him at his back! and he shut up ... hahahaha and we start practising ... not much a practise of double biking ... since its just natural for us! hihihihi ... ruiyuan is super pro okay?! he is the pro-est double biker ever!!! very fit and strong leg power! plus he got super good eyesight and very very very good at balancing larh! i was UNSCATHED (i was threatening him that if he fall, i'm going to ruin his life or sumtink) and we came in first back from changi village!!! hur hur ... propropropro US! thanks rui yuan :)
plus, during our departure, we partnered biking wif amanda and bing ... whole lot of fun, jokes, insults and ego-ness ... hahaha then on the return trip, we partnered bike wif william and wei peng ... then we did the SUPER ROCKET FULL SPEED RIDE!!! superbbbbb feeling man ... like space rocket like that! hahaha .. really have a good time and i feel super super fit :)
oh yes ... i drop my phone 3 TIMES! everyone laugh at me :(

on the second day many ppl went home ... left 4 girls:cheryl ezzah amanda and me .. it was CHERYL bday!!! hope you have fun gurl~ though not much a celebration but ... still fun? hehehe ... watch movies ... me and manda starved ourselves, cuz we dont feel like eating. then at nite, we played card games and HIDE&SEEK! super fun hide and seek .. poor william cant find neo .. neo is hidden below gavin, chunjek, me and manda ... i can hear him breath super loud! must be v v v v stuffy ... poor willy got sooo frustated ... 30 min and no neo!
oh yes then we play asshole taitee ... the guys make us spurt vulgarities! have quite a fun time cursing each other .. especially chun jek .. who is being a super ego ass ... always lost! then in the end he become queen .. and i become king -.- yuck!!!
then willy,gav,ry and me played bridge until we turn BLUR .. we played till 4 am! then cant tahan .. i need sleep .. only manage to sleep 5 hours for 2 nights .. ugh .. but i have fun ...
and i win a lot of bridge ... the guys think i'm crazy, the way i play ... haha .. v unpredictable ...

on the last day, we check out and i lost my PINK PIN!!! sobzz ... so sad larh .. its my bday gift somemore ... the guys being nice help me look for it ... and said plenty of "awwww" .. but still cant find! then off we went home! me and bing rush thru dhoby ghaut mrt to catch free shuttle bus home .. but we are like 1 min late?! so got to wait for another 30min ... we went times and laugh at all the stupid economic books ...
yup ... reach home and i sleep straight till 7pm! hur hur

got prom to look forward tooo!!!!!! i hope its going to have fun!
not wearing my old prom dress ... cuz its too loose .. got a new black one ... not even prom-y .. but i guess i will make do with it ... hope EVERYONE will look gorgeous!!!
