so much for the wisdom teeth extraction scare~ -.-"
the whole process was painless! the operation part i mean. but it was a violent operation. got plenty of drilling and blood and knife and 3 catridges of anaesthetic, my mouth was super numb until i cant spill my water on the basin ... it shoots to the floor! haha ... my dentist say that the operation was a tough one ... i can tell! he was sweating profusely and most of the time standing up, his face peering into my mouth, hand yanking the wisdom teeth out! i kept my wisdom teeth for keepsake ... they are humongous! and their roots actually curl ... like a girl dress like that ...
so ppl! those who scared of wisdom teeth extraction ... do not be afraid! its almost painless!
*phew~~~ i got v scared at first cuz benjamin was gushing how the dentist will drill and stuff, and mr tong mention that he was hospitalised when he extract his wisdom teeth, and reg mention that without wisdom teeth, one become more stupid* (haha! that's why i keep my wisdom teeth with me!)

my appetite was totally unaffected! like totally~~~ i was eating like nobody's business!! to think that i could use the opportunity to actually go on a short period of diet-ing ... hao shi bai ah!!! :/
should be coming back to work tmr ... i can simply start today .. but i tot my swollen cheeks and my disgusting smile is simple tooooo UNPRESENTABLE! i got an image to uphold!
"swollen cheeks, swollen cheeks, pls de-swell!" :D

reading thru my past essays (for scholarship, uni admission etc) the topic of racial identity struck me again ... been thinking whether everyone who look at me actually DO have a mental note that, "she is not singaporean. she is indonesian. but she is chinese. she is a foreigner ..."
rmb-ering about boon and ivy, 2 ppl from different origins, i admit i had that thought of,"wow ... they are so different, inter-racial relationship ... how it start man?!" haha funny rite ... sometimes i just forget that me too are not considered LOCAL. lately, so many ppl ask me bout where i come from. the construction workers at lvl 10 asked me, the taxi drivers asked me, new friends asked me ... i wonder whether they will be bias if they know that i'm not LOCAL. again, i gave that sneaky look, smiled and say, "i'm super mixed! got china, taiwan, japan, indo origins ..." could have easily added that i'm also hong-kish, vietnam-ish, thai-ish, afro-ish and korean-ish ... haha ... all the possibilities!
i know at indo, the normal indo ppl treat the chinese indo differently. i feel that until now, both indos just dont mix together, like oil and water. then the question is ... whether the singapore pink card holders .. do have that same impression of me ..
dont get me wrong, i love my frens! they have been really great, friendly and supportive .. but i really want to know whether there is such a barrier that differentiate me and the rest. i wonder who will be able to tell me the truth about this fact ... hmmmm ... gd question to ponder eh?
what happen if someday, i change my blue ic to the pink one ... and marry a singaporean ... lol! i nv even thought of that yet! is hdb, cpf, medisave, erp ... really my thing?
someone mention over msn few days ago ...
me: haha .. i really have plenty of stories to tell huh?
someone: yeah, perhaps its cuz you are not local. your tradition abit different from here. so all your stories are really amusing
(pls note that the convo is not quote-to-quote ... but otherwise have the same effect)
that someone dont mean harm at all ... just a side track i guess ... but poof it proves my point about that biasness and barrier ...

can the world be one day soooo GLOBALIZED that the word ORIGIN doesnt matter any more?

~L is for the way you LOOK at me...~
